The chipset is based on a 4nm manufacturing process and features a high-performance Cortex-X2 core clocked at up to 3.05GHz. It is paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
This hardware combination provides strong performance for everyday applications, multitasking and demanding games. The 12GB RAM also allows users to keep multiple applications running in the background.

The 50MP retractable portrait camera is particularly interesting. Unlike a conventional smartphone telephoto camera, the lens physically extends out of the phone when activated.
This mechanism allows the camera to use a larger lens and is designed specifically to improve portrait photography. The camera provides 2.5x optical zoom and is capable of producing natural-looking background separation.
The main 50MP camera is designed for everyday photography, while the 13MP ultra-wide camera can be used for landscapes, group photographs and wider scenes.
Tecno PHANTOM X2 Pro 5G Portrait Camera
The retractable portrait camera is what makes the PHANTOM X2 Pro 5G different from most smartphones.
The 50MP portrait camera has a wide f/1.49 aperture and a retractable lens mechanism. When the camera is opened, the lens extends outward from the rear camera module.
The larger lens is designed to capture portraits with stronger subject separation and natural-looking bokeh. It also provides 2.5x optical zoom, which is useful for taking portraits without getting too close to the subject.
For photography enthusiasts, this is arguably the most unique feature of the smartphone.
Tecno PHANTOM X2 Pro 5G Selfie Camera
For selfies and video calls, the smartphone comes with a 32MP front-facing camera.
The front camera can capture detailed selfies in good lighting conditions and also supports portrait effects. It is suitable for social media photography, video calls and everyday selfie use.
The front camera also supports Full HD video recording.
Tecno PHANTOM X2 Pro 5G Video Recording
The rear camera system supports video recording at up to 4K resolution. Users can also record Full HD videos depending on their requirements.
The combination of the high-resolution main camera and retractable portrait camera makes the phone particularly interesting for users who enjoy mobile photography and video creation.
The ultra-wide camera can also be useful when recording scenes where a wider field of view is required.
